Bret Hollander is the founder of NETRECRUITER, a candidate sourcing and contingency services firm that also offers strategic consulting on Internet recruiting. Since 1997, Bret has taught thousands of recruiting professionals how to maximize their recruitment efforts by utilizing the Internet. He is also the author of the Sourcerer’s Apprentice, a very popular free monthly electronic newsletter targeting the Internet recruiter. Bret is a consummate road warrior, speaking at numerous major conferences each year, with topics such as “Cutting Edge Tools for the Internet Recruiter”, “Effective Recruiting Begins At Home”, and “Internet Recruiting Strategies.”

Bret is also very active with both local and national HR organizations. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) on the northern Virginia steering committee of the Employment Management Association, former moderator of the Staffing Alliance of Maryland Employers, as well as a member of Project S.A.V.E.

A world traveler, Bret spent his early childhood in Italy, served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force, worked the oil boom years in Saudi Arabia, volunteered for the U.S. Peace Corps on the tiny Caribbean island of St. Kitts, and most recently implemented ESOL programs in mainland China.
